The Heart Behind the Stories
Meet the creative duo bringing magical worlds to life.
Jim has been creative from an early age, beginning with drawing and painting at school and later contributing artwork for Scout shows. During his career as a draftsman in ductwork engineering, he continued to express his creativity through sketches and illustrations. Over time, this led him to writing stories inspired by everyday experiences.
After starting a family, Jim focused on writing children’s stories, particularly fairy tales about animals. Inspired by his granddaughters, he created the “Woogleboogles” series, which he later published. Jim writes for children aged three to thirteen, with his work also enjoyed by parents, and he is supported in his writing by his wife, Maggie McColl.
